PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE ANNOUNCEMENT BEFORE RESPONDING
Beginning May 31, we will start celebrating the Divine Liturgy publicly at St. John of the Desert. To fulfill our spiritual needs without compromising our physical wellbeing, we will limit the attendance to 30 persons.
You must sign up at 6:00 pm every Saturday. To reserve, enter your name, email and the number of people attending. Seating will be on a first come, first serve basis. If you are unable to reserve, but would like to receive communion, attend the Liturgy from your car in our parking lot. Immediately following the Liturgy and after the congregation has been dismissed to their cars, communion will be distributed in the Parking Lot.
Everyone who reserves a spot is expected to wear a mask to the Divine Liturgy.
Only those who reserve online will be able to attend the Divine Liturgy in person.
Stay home if you are sick.
Consider staying home if you have serious underlying medical conditions or caring for others.
WE WILL ENFORCE THE FOLLOWING:
Every family group or individual must always maintain a social distance (6 feet) in church and outside the building.
Do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Venerate icons with a bow; without touching or kissing.
Stay in your pew during the Gospel reading.
Masks shall always be used. Exempted are those under 2 years of age. Also exempted are those who have trouble breathing or unable to remove their mask without assistance.
Protect those in your household. In the Narthex, use hand sanitizer and wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds as soon as you get home.
Seats will be marked. Please sit on marked seats only.
One person or family group will come for communion at one time.
The church will be ventilated continually.
The Davis Hall will be inaccessible, before, during, and after prayers.
The number of people using the restrooms will be restricted to 2 people at the same time to maintain social distancing.
